My Beloved Tandem Community,

I am writing to share that I have made the bittersweet decision to step down as Executive Director after a wonderful six-plus years with this incredible organization.

Serving this organization has been the greatest honor of my career. My time here has been deeply rewarding, and together with our dedicated team, board, and partners, we have built something remarkable: an organization that centers children and families, delivering relationship-driven, high-quality programming rooted in equity, connection, and joy.

I feel immense pride and gratitude for where we are today and for the path ahead. Our programs are thriving across Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties; our team is stronger than ever; and we have a clear vision for how Tandem can deepen its impact, grow to reach more children and families, and build innovative programs in the years to come. 

This timing feels right for Tandem to benefit from new leadership—and for me to pursue my next chapter of service. Over the coming months, I will continue in my current role with a focus on stewarding the organization through this transition. I remain deeply committed to our mission and to ensuring that the new Executive Director is set up for success as we prepare for Tandem’s next chapter. I am excited for the opportunities this creates—for Tandem to continue evolving, and for me to explore what comes next.

With this community behind us, I know that Tandem will continue to do what we do best: create joyful learning experiences where children and families thrive.
